An Update About Our Privacy Notice and Terms of Use
Our goal for ShowingTime+ is to help agents be more efficient and productive so they can elevate the experience of buying and selling for their clients and, ultimately, win more business. We’ve heard from agents that they want a cohesive, integrated ShowingTime+ experience to help them save time and better serve their clients. To make this possible, we’ve created a single ShowingTime+ Privacy Notice and Terms of Use.
The combined ShowingTime+ Privacy Notice and Terms of Use will unlock new benefits and create efficiencies for agents who use multiple ShowingTime+ products, like: reducing duplicate information entry, allowing for single-sign on, and viewing key showing and transaction information in a single dashboard. All of this, and more, will free agents to focus on what matters: their clients.
Our goal is to be clear and transparent about these changes to help you understand how we use information to provide you with ShowingTime+ products and services that help you succeed. Below, we’ve outlined what’s changing, key privacy notice updates, what is not changing, and a few frequently asked questions.
We encourage you to review the Privacy Notice and Terms of Use in full. The new ShowingTime+ Privacy Notice and Terms of Use take effect on September 30, 2024.
Here’s what’s changing
- The ShowingTime+ Privacy Notice and Terms of Use include dotloop, ShowingTime and Bridge Interactive. You remain the ultimate decision-maker about which ShowingTime+ products and services you engage with – for example, using ShowingTime does not obligate you to use dotloop.
- We’ve created a single, comprehensive ShowingTime+ Privacy Notice that is easy to understand and provides details about how we use information to make your work easier.
- In order to streamline delivery of ShowingTime+ products and services, be able to provide you with easier billing and less paperwork, and help you clearly understand our obligations to you and your business, we have also created a single ShowingTime+ Terms of Use.
Key privacy notice updates
The ShowingTime+ Privacy Notice clearly outlines the types of information we collect, where that information comes from, how we use it, and with whom we share it to improve your experience with our services and products.
- This includes clearly distinguishing between the information about our customers – agents and brokers – and the information about their customers, like buyers and sellers.
- As was true before under our products’ separate privacy notices, we do not use information about buyers and sellers other than to provide our services to you and your clients, and you retain full control over the services you engage and the information you share with us.
Artificial intelligence and machine learning are opening up new possibilities in making agents even more productive and successful. We may choose to use these technologies to develop new product innovations in order to provide greater value to you, and our privacy notice discloses this.
- For example, we may use AI to summarize and analyze customer feedback so we can make informed choices about the products and features we offer.
- Most importantly, we are focused on using AI to empower agents and help enhance the experience you can provide to your clients – never to replace you. And we use AI and machine learning only as allowed by the privacy notice. Read more about Zillow Group’s AI principles.
Agents use a variety of tools to run their business, and often these tools don’t talk to each other. Our consolidated ShowingTime+ Privacy Notice allows us to integrate our software offerings into a single, unified ShowingTime+ experience to drive efficiencies, enable new insights and bring together key portions of the transaction lifecycle for agents.
What’s not changing
We do not use information relating to your customers, like buyers and sellers, other than to provide you and your clients with our services. Information you provide about your clients remains within ShowingTime+, and the confidentiality and security of your and your clients’ information continues to be our top priority.
- We’ve maintained restrictions that prevent information sharing between ShowingTime+ products and Zillow’s brokerage entity, Zillow, Inc. Just as prior policies outlined, ShowingTime+ does not share personal information or content about your clients with Zillow.
- You have control over your information. We continue to require express consent from you for any uses of the information you provide us that are not outlined in the privacy notice, like setting up third-party integrations with ShowingTime+ products.
Thank you for trusting us to be a partner in your real estate business. We look forward to continuing to innovate within the ShowingTime+ suite to help you grow and succeed.
