Real-Time Availability API

ShowingTime’s real-time availability API (Application Programming Interface) enables broker, team and agent websites to display the actual times tours can be booked on listings, giving buyers a much richer scheduling experience.

How can I use this API?
Our real-time availability API can be used whether you have an internal website for your agents to review MLS listing details, or a public-facing website to assist buyers in their home search.

How will this help improve the user experience? 
Displaying truly available appointment times allows buyers to successfully book a tour while reducing the burden on your listing agents to respond to requests for unavailable times. Real-time availability provides a better touring experience for users and helps set realistic expectations for buyers as they co-shop with their agent.

Does this API allow users to submit an appointment directly to ShowingTime from my website or application? 
No. However, if that is something you are interested in, please indicate that in the comments field of your submission form.

What are the technical details? 
ShowingTime provides a common set of integration protocols and JSON-based API functionality, returning available appointment times on participating listings to display on your website and/or application. A full API spec will be provided once your request is approved by our customer service team.

How can I get started? 
A licensed MLS member or a representative of a licensed MLS member must complete our API request form. ShowingTime’s API customer service team will review your request and determine if you meet the criteria for API use. If you do not meet the criteria, our team will follow up with an explanation and recommended next steps for gaining approval. Once approved, you will be provided access to our API documentation and other details to help you get started. Approval turnaround time can be anywhere from 2-5 business days.
