Invite a Photographer You Know

When placing a media order for your listing, you have multiple options available. This article will guide you through the process of ordering media through your photographer. You can send an invitation to your photographer to capture and upload media for your listing via your account, but it remains your responsibility to coordinate the date and time of the shoot as well as handle all media payments directly with your photographer. Generally, agents are responsible for ordering media, but Admins or Coordinators may also have the ability to place orders on behalf of their team members.

Note: If you would like to onboard your photographer as a Zillow Showcase photographer before ordering media for a listing, you can directly submit your photographer's information using this form (and skip the steps below) and we will email them with everything they need to get started.

  1. Order Media you would like to order media for. If you do not have a listing, create one using the “Add listing” button. 
  2. From the Overview page within your listing, click “Get started” under the create a Showcase listing section.

    Note: If a Showcase listing has already been redeemed for that listing, choose “Start order” under the Add listing media section. You can tell if an order has been placed for Showcase as you’ll see an Orders section in the overview tab.

  3. If you have not ordered media before from your own photographer, you will see a box that says “Have your own photographer?”  Within that box, click the “Invite photographer” button.
  4. Add your photographer’s information then click Submit. We’ll reach out to your photographer with a media request.  After a few steps, they’ll be able to capture and upload media for your listing.

    Note: To ensure successful media capture for a Showcase listing, it is recommended that your photographer have the necessary equipment for capturing a Zillow 3D Home virtual tour and interactive floor plan, in addition to their preferred still photography equipment.  Learn more here.

  5. Choose the correct photographer. If the system recognizes the photographer’s email address in our directory, a suggested contact will appear. If the suggested photographer looks correct and is in our directory (you will see Showcase Select in the corner), click Book now, which will take you directly to the booking page. If there is no matching contact choose Send media request, which will send a request via email to your photographer. 

    Note: This screen will only appear if the system recognizes your photographer’s email address.
